Comments

The Appearance property defines the control's border look.

The Appearance property affects the border drawn around the control.  If the BorderStyle property defines a border, the Appearance property will cause it to be painted using a 3D effect.  If Windows themes are used, this property will cause a border to be displayed (if set to 1), rendered using the current theme's style.

The Items.Cell3D property can be used to give items a 3D look.

This property is read/only at run-time.
